I often get asked how I end up choosing my vacation destinations. The answer is simple and complicated all at the same time. Picking a location can be exciting but it can also be worrisome if you like certain amenities and/or accommodations, but you’re also trying to stay within a budget. So, when choosing there’s the excitement of discovering a new place but also the responsibility of making the right financial choice.
For my most recent trip I did some research on peaceful resorts with great reviews. I chose Naia Resort and Spa in the Placencia Peninsula of Belize, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment of my arrival at the Placencia airport and was greeted by a staff member of Naia. I was amazed by the level of professionality and friendliness. When I arrived to the resort I was blown away by the luxurious, thoughtful and elegant details throughout the beautiful reception area. I was greeted with a welcome drink, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating.
The resort is located right on the beautiful beach. My beach house, (yes I said beach house!) was extremely clean, peaceful, very spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a wonderful outdoor shower. Wait… let me repeat this: an outdoor shower!! Talk about combining nature with luxury! I enjoyed taking a warm shower outside so much! The beach is wide and hammocks and lounge chairs await just outside your casita. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The spa is gorgeous. There is a yoga studio and it’s perfect and all the gym and yoga equipment are top quality. Naia is ideal for a relaxing get away.
The food is excellent! The restaurant is lovely. I had breakfast brought to my room on mornings and it was on time and delicious. They met all met my expectations. Because I just wanted to stay in and relax I chose mostly to eat at the 1981 restaurant in the resort where the food was amazing and at great value, with the same excellent service I received throughout my visit.
Naia Resort and Spa not only met but exceeded my expectations!
